House and Hotel Adventures

When our kitchen flooded we weren't quite sure what to do with the situation. We cleaned up the water and thought that would be good enough. But, after a while we determined that the linoleum was too damaged and would have to go. My handy husband ripped it up and cleaned up the tile that was beneath it.

Such a sexy stud :)

Then we decided that is was a little past our scope and the damage was more than we thought, so we called home owners insurance. And I came home to this....

The home owners insurance determined that there was going to have to be some major renovations and that they were going to have put us in a hotel while they did the remodeling. For the first couple nights, they gave us our choice of hotel while they found a more permanent place for us to stay. So, Little America it was:) We enjoyed a night out and the amenities of the hotel.

After our stay in the Little America they put us up in a residence inn. It had perks like some free food, a pool and hot tub, and maid service so we tried to make ourselves at home.

While we were at the hotel things moved forward on the house.

Although, they initially said it would be 3 weeks, we ended up staying SEVEN long weeks in the hotel while they got everything done. We were so ready to be back into our house!! We were so excited when they finally finished it and we got to move back into our semi new, beautiful house!!

  1. Flo, the hats were STUNNING! I wish you purchased the giant sun hat because you made it look amazing.

Of course Devin chose the cowboy hat ;)

I'm glad you got some fixings to the house and that the insurance helped cover it!
